Your Asbury Account
Please use this account when logging into all campus computers, services, and sites, including your Asbury Email account, Discovery, and Portal. Once you log-in for the first time, you will also be asked to set-up multi-factor authentication for your account using your smartphone or another device that can have the Microsoft Authenticator application installed. If you are struggling with multi-factor authentication set-up, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.
Account Username & Password
Your Asbury email and username will be formatted as follows (unless otherwise noted): firstname.lastname@asbury.edu
- Example: john.smith@asbury.edu

Note: If you have a longer or hyphenated last name, please check with I.T. Services to verify your username.
To set up your account password you will be sent a link to the personal email that was provided to Human Resources.
Email Information
All faculty & staff memebers are assigned an Asbury University email address for use. Email is the official means of communication at Asbury. This email account is accessible on and off campus at office.asbury.edu from any web browser. You must use your full email address when loggin into your account at office.asbury.edu, or any other Asbury service/location accessed through a web browser.
Your Asbury email account is an Outlook Exchange account and can be added to Microsoft Outlook on your computer and/or mobile devices. Learn how to add your Asbury email account to your computer and/or mobile devices using the links below:

Password Requirements
- Passwords must be twelve characters or more in length. They must contain three of the following:
- Number, Uppercase Letter, Lowercase Letter, & Symbol
- You will be prompted to reset your Asbury account password every twelve months.
- If you enter your password incorrectly three times, your account will be automatically locked. In order to unlock your account please refer to the following article - How To Reset Your Password, Unblock, or Unlock Your Asbury Account. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Service Desk, or you can wait one hour for your account to unlock automatically.
Note: Please remember that when you change your password for your Asbury email account it will automatically change your password for Discovery and Portal. If you have been issued a computer by Asbury I.T. Services, the password you use to access that machine will also be changed automatically. If you are experiencing any access issues after changing your password, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.
How To Reset Your Password
You can reset your Asbury password or unlock your account at any time online at password.asbury.edu. Changing your password will change it for all Asbury sites, including Discovery, Portal, etc. If you have been issued a computer by Asbury I.T. Services, the password you use to access that machine will also be changed automatically.
Before you can change your password or unlock your account, you need to enroll in the password reset service. When you first log-in to your account, you will be automatically prompted to set up verification methods for the passwrod rest service. You will not be able to chnage a forgotten password if you have not already enrolled. If you have not enrolled, but have forgotten your password, contact the Service Desk for assistance.

Asbury Staff Resources
Asbury Employee Portal
The Asbury employee portal can be access by an Asbury employee at aep.asbury.edu. From Asbury's employee portal, you ca:
- Utilize the resources section to access the campus calendar, Fusion, the IT Service Desk and many other locations.
- View your current benefits and deductions.
- View your profile information including your home address, personal and office phone, and office location and request correction to this information.
- Add your phone number to the emergancy text alert system.
Paychex (Flex) is the home of Asbury's payroll. You can sign into your Paychex Flex account here - Paychex Flex.

OneDrive File Storage
All Asbury faculty and staff have access to 5TB of cloud storage in OneDrive. With your Asbury email addresss comes the benefits of Microsoft Office 365 which means access to Word, Excel, and Powerpoint online as well as OneDrive (and other Office applications). You can access OneDrive by going straight to onedrive.com and signing in with your Asbury accoutn credentials.
You can also use it while signed into your email online - office.asbury.edu - by selecting 'OneDrive' from the waffle menu in the top left. You can also download the OneDrive application to your computer and upload files straight to the cloud.
Software Available To Faculty & Staff
With your Asbury account you have access to the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
If you have been issued a computer by Asbury I.T. Services, Microsoft Office 365 will already be installed. During your deployment you will be walked through Office 365 and other applications that are available and pre-installed on your Asbury issued device.
Purchasing A New Computer
If you are considering purchasing a new personal computer, Asbury's I.T. Services can help! Asbury faculty, staff & students are eligible for an educational discount on select models. For more information, please contact the Service Desk with any questions you have.
Training & Support
Asbury Information Technology Services provides training in learning spaces on the installed classroom technology for full-time and part-time faculty members. For more information and to request a training time, please contact the Service Desk.
I.T. Services also has training for Discovery and the Faculty Portal, and provides limited support for various pieces of software. To inquire if a particular piece of software is covered by our training, or to request and appoinmtnet for Discovery and/or Faculty Portal training, please contact thre Service Desk (x2177) - servicedesk@asbury.edu, and we will be glad to meet with you!
Working With I.T. Services For Success
How do I get help when I need it?
I.T. Services provides an online portal where you can open a support ticket for a technology issue or you can request a service.
- You can also open tickets you have already submitted, submit a ticket, request a service, or view your tickets at any time by loggin into service.asbury.edu using your Asbury account credentials.
During normal business hours, you can call us at the campus extension 2177 while on campus, or you can call us from anywhere at (859) 858-5177.
- Semester Business Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM | Fri 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Closed for Chapel M/W/F 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Break Business Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 12:00PM; 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The full-time office is closed from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.

Note: During semester business hours, full-time technician support is only available during the break business hour windows.
For extremely time sensitive requests, we recommend that you com visit the Service Desk in person during normal business hours.
- The Service Desk office is located on the first floor of the Kinlaw Library in room 131
Emergancy classroom technology assistance is available during normal business hours. Please call the Service Desk is if you need assistance or if the technology is not working!
Will I be assigned technology? If so, how often does it get replaced?
Most full-time employees receive a laptop or desktop computer for business use. All full-time employee computers are replaced every 4-5 years from the devices initial deployment as funds allow. Employees may obtain one free replacement charger or other adapter with each deployment. All subsiquest replacemnets will go through I.T. Services and be funed by the employee's department.
All faculty offices on campus are assigned an office phone (desk phone).
Other devices (such as iPads, printers, etc.) are not automatically upgraded in the technology rotation. Cell phones are only provided at the approval of the departmental supervisors and vice-presidents.
How do I get access to shared network drives, shared mailboxes, printers, and other shared resources?
These requests need to come from your supervisor to I.T. Services in writing.
Once approved, an appointment link will be sent, and a time will be scheduled with you at the Service Desk to get everything set up.
Can I buy additional equipment on my own? Or does that need to go through I.T. Services?
Computers, adaptors, chargers, pritners, office phones, calssroom technology, etc. must be requested through I.T. Services.
How do I get Audio/Visual support for an event and/or presentation (outside of the classroom)?
I.T. Services supports many different kinds of events on campus every semester.

On-Campus Information
Internet Access At Asbury
AU Wireless is the network that you will connect to as a faculty/staff member on campus at Asbury University.
- The password for AU Wireless is: GoEagles.
To connect to the internet, Asbury requires that all employees and students register their devices on the network. Registering allows you to come and go from campus without needing to repeatedly verify yourself on the network. To register your devices, go to connect.asbury.edu and sign in using your Asbury account credentials.
Network Content Filtration
Asbury University employs content filtration in accordance with institutional policies. This system is intended for the protection of our students, faculty, and staff from internet content inconsitent with Asbury's cultural standards, and is monitored regularly.
If you have questions regarding blocked content, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.
Office Phones
If you have a desk phone in your office, look on the back to deteriine what the make and model of the phone is. There are several different types of phones across campus, and we have instructions for each model. Once you have located your model, choose the applicable instructions from our phone guides, listed below:
If you have any questions about your phone, please contact the Service Desk with your name, question, and which type of phone you have.
Faculty ID Card
Remember to stop by the Service Desk to have your faculty/staff ID card created!
- Note: If you are a former student, your studetn ID card needs to be replaced with a faculty/staff ID to maintain functionality.
Employees can also request family IDs for their spouse and children if desired (this must be requested 72 hours in advance of printing).
Personal Local Network Storage Space
Each faculty/staff member has a private space ont he Asbury computer network to save files. This drive space is accessible from any netowrked computer on campus.
You can access the space using the following address:

- On macOS: smb://eli.asbury.edu/firstname.lastname

Computer Labs & Print Accounts
Printing in the computer labs is reserved for students only. Faculty and staff (including adjuncts) are encouraged to use departmental printers and copiers. All faculty and staff can be mapped to their department printers and copiers. In case of an emergancy, faculty and staff have a $5 print balance that can be used in the computer labs across campus.
If you need to be mapped to a department printer or copier, please have your supervisor contact the Service Desk to make the request.
