Overview

During the COVID-19 Crisis, certain software has become available to students at no charge through Asbury University.  The list below entails all software that has become available thanks to the generosity of our vendors, and how to access a free, temporary license for the duration of the crisis.


All Lab Software Available (as of March 24th, 2020, Listed Alphabetically)


Ableton

At this time, the only version of Ableton Live is a free trial, available at https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/


Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe has graciously offered all students access to the Creative Cloud Suite at no charge until May 31st, 2020.

Adobe Flash

This tool is being phased out by Adobe, but if you need access, it's free.  Visit https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.html


Adobe Reader DC

This tool is offered for free by Adobe. Visit https://get.adobe.com/reader/


Audacity

Audacity is an open-source product. The latest stable release is available for free at this link: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/


Chrome

Chrome is available for free. Download it at https://www.google.com/chrome/


Final Draft

Final Draft has given Asbury University individual license codes for a trial that will last until the end of classes.  For access to Final Draft, please contact your faculty instructor. Students who are enrolled in a course that uses this software will automatically be sent codes when they are available.


Finale

Finale has graciously extended their normal 30 day trial out to a 60 day trial for all students & faculty.  Click Here to visit their site and sign up.


Firefox

Firefox is available for free by visiting https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/


GeoGebra

GeoGebra is available for free for students and faculty at this link: https://www.geogebra.org/?lang=en


iTunes

iTunes is available for free at https://www.apple.com/itunes/


Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Microsoft Office is available for free to all Asbury Faculty, Staff and Students.  Visit https://service.asbury.edu/a/solutions/articles/7000015880 for instructions.


Practica Musica

Unfortunately, Practica Musica is only available as a paid version for students.  Visit https://www.ars-nova.com/cgi-bin/weborders/kpurch7.cgi for more information.


ProTools

ProTools has given Asbury University individual license codes for a free 90 trial of ProTools.  For access to ProTools, please contact your faculty instructor. Students who are enrolled in a course that uses this software will automatically be sent codes when they are available.


SPSS

IBM has extended the Free Trial of SPSS through June 15, 2020.  Click Here to sign up.
